I will be working with mostly municipal officials to build awareness of the joint Railway Association of Canada - Federation of Canadian Municipalities Proximity Guidelines, which the two organizations have developed in order minimize nuisance conflicts between railways and nearby residents. The joint guidelines address such issues as zoning, setbacks, noise and vibration abatement, etc. At times, the outreach will involve provincial-level municipal affairs staff and officials.
