Lobbying Activities

Health

Arranging meeting between an individual and a public office holder for purpose of lobbying

Development, establishment, amendment or termination of any program, policy or decision

The Better Pharmacare Coalition seeks to ensure rapid and complete inclusion of medications on the BC PharmaCare formulary. To that end we secure meetings with the minister of health and staff of the ministry for discussion of ministry programs and approval processes that restrict, delay or inhibit access to appropriate medications for all British Columbians. Especially for those individuals where extended private insurance is not available. We seek to ensure all British Columbians can access 'the right medication at the right time and for the right length of time' regardless of financial circumstances. We believe all British Columbians have the right to successfully manage their chronic diseases and seek the implementation of processes that will allow that to happen.
