The Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia intends to meet with public office holders and senior government staff to discuss a variety of key issues affecting access to justice in BC. More specifically, we would like to speak to MLAs, Ministers and staff about: - The need for increasing funding for legal aid - The opportunity for introducing a Wrongful Death Act in BC - Encourage the government to pursue the adoption of a Unified Family Court - Discuss the merits of political action on the discriminatory practice of jury fees in civil matters
