1. Request to reduce the annual fee for teacher certification for 2014-15. 2. Request that the Teacher Regulation Branch reconsider the requirement of a criminal record check every five years in keeping with the requirements of other provincial and territorial systems. 3. Request that the Teacher Regulation Branch institute a notification process to alert teachers when their birth date and gender match that of a pardoned sexual offender. This notification to be made prior to names being submitted to the criminal Justice Branch for the criminal record check and to include information on the possibility of the need for fingerprinting, a description of how the teacher will be notified and how and where the fingerprinting would be done.

Request for enactment of Legislation regarding conflict of interest regulations for school districts by: Requiring school secretary treasurers, superintendents and deputy superintendents, on an annual basis in a public report made to school boards, to making the following disclosures on: 1. Affiliations with other education-related organizations 2. Affiliations with any corporations or business that do business with or intend to do business with a BC School district 3. Any and all income, honorariums, or payment for service 4. Any in-kind services or gifts from other organizations or corporations 5. Participation in or attendance at activities organized by corporations. In order to ensure that there is no conflict of interest about any groups who may pursue their interest through influencing school district admininstrators.

Request that the Workers' Compensation Board of BC reinstate the "Status of Amateur Referees" as a distinct policy review in the 2014 Workplan to ensure teachers acting as referees in school sports activities are recognized as workers by WCB.

Concern for the potential negative health impacts on neighbourhoods of the Fraser Surrey Docks¿ plan to construct a Direct Transfer Coal Facility for shipping American Thermal Coal through British Columbia. Request for the government to conduct a proper comprehensive Health Impact Assessment (HIA) by an independent third party that meets internationally accepted standards and to hold full public hearings.
