CFIB is a very active lobbying organization and lobbying activities may be conducted by way of letters, submissions, e-mails, phone conversations and messages, as well as dozens of in-person meetings each year with the Premier, Cabinet Ministers, Deputy Ministers, their assistants and staff, all MLAs and their staff and potentially any public agency. CFIB is a very active lobbying organization and lobbying activities may be conducted by way of letters, submissions, e-mails, phone conversations and messages, as well as dozens of in-person meetings each year with the Premier, Cabinet Ministers, Deputy Ministers, their assistants and staff, all MLAs and their staff and potentially any public agency. CFIB¿s main lobbying activities at present are focused on: red tape reduction; budget issues (taxation policy, including PST and small business corporate tax rate, and spending policy); labour issues (labour shortages, minimum wage, employment standards, WCB, Family Day); municipal issues (mainly taxation and spending); BC Safety Authority; liquor regulations and utilities as well as overall treatment of small business. Any of CFIB's 10,000 BC business members may call our business resource counselor and we may work on virtually any issue that affects that member's business, their sector, a number of businesses in a region or throughout BC. This includes, but is not limited to, the introduction, modification or repealing of legislation, bills and regulations; developing, establishing, amending or terminating any program, policy, directive or guideline within any BC Government Ministry or delegated authority. CFIB is a very active lobbying organization and lobbying activities may be conducted by way of letters, submissions, e-mails, phone conversations and messages, as well as dozens of in-person meetings each year with the Premier, Cabinet Ministers, Deputy Ministers, their assistants and staff, all MLAs and their staff and potentially any public agency. CFIB¿s main lobbying activities at present are focused on: red tape reduction; budget issues (taxation policy, including PST and small business corporate tax rate, and spending policy); labour issues (labour shortages, minimum wage, employment standards, WCB, Family Day); municipal issues (mainly taxation and spending); BC Safety Authority; liquor regulations and utilities as well as overall treatment of small business. Any of CFIB's 10,000 BC business members may call our business resource counselor and we may work on virtually any issue that affects that member's business, their sector, a number of businesses in a region or throughout BC. This includes, but is not limited to, the introduction, modification or repealing of legislation, bills and regulations; developing, establishing, amending or terminating any program, policy, directive or guideline within any BC Government Ministry or delegated authority. CFIB is a very active lobbying organization and lobbying activities may be conducted by way of letters, submissions, e-mails, phone conversations and messages, as well as dozens of in-person meetings each year with the Premier, Cabinet Ministers, Deputy Ministers, their assistants and staff, all MLAs and their staff and potentially any public agency. It is conceivable that all in-house lobbyists on staff may have contact with any or all anticipated targets through written or electronic correspondence, over the phone, or in person.
