Upcoming Events

In anticipation of the Lobbyists Transparency Act  (LTA) coming into force of on May 4, 2020, the ORL is hosting public information sessions in April 2020. We hope you are able to attend either the session in Vancouver on April 2, 2020, or the one in Victoria on April 23, 2020. The content of each session will be similar for both events.

In addition, for those unable to attend a session in person, a live webcast will be broadcast on April 3, 2020. See below for details and registration information on all the ORL’s upcoming events.

 

Lobbying in BC – What you need to know about the Lobbyists Transparency Act

The Office of the Registrar of Lobbyists (ORL) in collaboration with the Public Affairs Association of Canada (PAAC) invite you to attend a two-hour information session on the significant legislative changes to lobbying in BC, which come into force on May 4, 2020. The session will provide information to lobbyists, organizations, and the general public on changes to the current Lobbyists Registration Act, the regulations, and the Lobbyists Registry. The session is open to the public and includes a question and answer period with the Registrar and ORL staff.

Additional information, guidance documents, and support materials will continue to be posted on our website as we near the launch of the new Registry system and the coming into force of the Lobbyists Transparency Act on May 4.
