Public support for and detailed policy recommendations of the community-led $10aDay Child Care Plan, available at 10aday.ca, will also be shared. Policy and legislation recommendations include recognition and respect for Indigenous rights and jurisdiction, along with updated legislation (Early Learning and Care Child Act, Early Childhood Educators Act, Child Care BC Act, School Act) and increasing public funding to lower parent fees, raise educator compensation and education, and expand access to public and community-owned licensed spaces. - Development of any legislative proposal by the government of British Columbia, a Provincial entity or a member of the Legislative Assembly
