The COVID-19 crisis is leading to hardship in the entire BC wine industry with constrained or closed market channels (e.g. restaurants, tasting rooms, onsite winery events, etc.). This is creating a backlog of inventory and an oversupply of grapes. Government needs to use it's emergency powers to expand access to all 100% BC Grape Wineries to the alternative packaging channel in order to avoid a wine glut, to help BC farmers, and to stave off Winery closures.
