Amending Section 135 of the Workers Compensation Act (formerly Section 5.1[1.1]) to extend the presumption to all workers. In the short term, the BCGEU urges the government to amend the Mental Disorder Presumption Regulation (B.C. Reg. 136/2018) to expand the list of eligible occupations to include mental health and addictions workers, outreach workers, shelter workers, transition house workers, community corrections officers, front line social workers, front line employment assistance workers, and front line administrative staff.
