To advocate for modifications to the Carbon Tax that support competitiveness of the B.C. Cement industry and which promotes and incents reducing emissions through grants, programs and regulations. To advocate for the continued development of a cement low carbon fuel program and funding for industry technology.

To exchange information, ideas and options related to BC's cement industry relating to BC's climate change and air emissions policies, laws & regulations including the transition to and Output Based Carbon Pricing Scheme; the Gas Reduction Targets Act, the Clean Growth Climate Action Plan, and the Clean Growth Incentive Program and Industrial Incentive Funds. To advocate for the acceptance of alternative and renewable fuels for use in cement manufacturing and the cement low carbon fuel program; and for advocating for the industry's solid waste & waste recovery solutions. To discuss and analysis of the competitiveness and other impacts of the Carbon Tax and seek amendments and alternatives to mitigate the impacts on the cement industry including financial incentives. To advance industry solutions to the built environment which benefit the environment and sustainability. To send correspondence and meet with Cabinet and elected officials to educate them on industry issues.
