Advocate for increased preparedness regarding the financial and systemic impacts surrounding a major earthquake in Canada. This includes addressing insurance protection gaps that exist today and establishing a federal emergency backstop arrangement for property and casualty insurers so that money is quickly and clearly available to fund losses and prevent financial shocks to the economy.

Advocate for the importance of climate change adaptation as it relates to extreme weather events, including the need to invest in measures to help communities become more resilient and address financially costly climate-related perils including flooding, wildfire, and extreme heat.
