ECABC is lobbying to ensure the regulations and other specifics not explicitly detailed in the Construction Prompt Payment Act are effective in providing payment timeline certainty for all contractors and workers on a construction project, including an effective dispute adjudication system to reduce legal costs for construction and resolve issues faster.

Requesting that the $241 million in announced additional funding to Skilled Trades BC includes a significant investment in improving the training system for electrical apprentices . Intended Outcomes: Increased funding and support for electrical apprentices to improvement completion rates and increase the number of apprentices and journeypersons.
