Wildlife-friendly roads: Y2Y will lobby the BC Ministry of Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure to develop, fund and substantially implement an integrated plan for wildlife mitigation along Highway 3 between Sparwood, BC and the Alberta border. Y2Y will advocate that the plan includes at least one major overpass and several smaller pieces of new infrastructure, as well as improvements to existing bridges to make it easier for wildlife to travel beneath them.

Y2Y will engage with Senior Office Holders to advocate for comprehensive caribou recovery plans during the Herd Planning process, for the protection of critical habitat for caribou and other species at risk, and for the scheduled implementation of the Intergovernmental Partnership Agreement for the Recovery of Central Mountain Caribou. Y2Y will provide briefings and reports on research conducted on caribou recovery, habitat destruction and protection, and other related research from Y2Y staff, partners, and unaffiliated scientists and institutions.
