Omar Dominguez is arranging meetings between individual non-profit agencies and their local MLA to discuss the impact of COVID-19 on the non-profit sector in BC. The goal is to increase the visibility of the sector, not ask for any specific action, though there will be encouragement for the MLA to support the sector as plans are made for economic recovery which might involve financial benefit to non-profits in BC.

Vantage Point is supporting other non-profits and charities in describing the impact of the Lobby Registration Transparency Act on our sector and various calls for approaches to interpreting or amending it, changes to regulations and how it is applied, and other dialogue between the BC government and the non-profit sector on this area of policy and legislation.
