Trans Mountain is in the process of expanding its pipeline and operations from Edmonton, Alberta to Burnaby, BC.The company also maintains and operates existing facilities serving the energy needs of BC, the US Pacific Northwest and seaborne customers. With this in mind, Trans Mountain has an interest in contributing to the formation of good economic, environmental, and social policy in BC. Trans Mountain advocates with the intention of constructively influencing how funds generated through agreements with the Province (such as the 5 Conditions agreement) are dedicated to maximize social, environmental and community benefits. Trans Mountain also advocates for the reasonable formation and application of any new policy and regulation where this might affect the viability and safety of operating a petroleum products pipeline in BC.
