With the announcement of CleanBC, BC needs to ensure there are enough appropriately trained journeyperson electricians in the province to do the work required to reduce our climate footprint. Intended outcomes: Increase funding for equipment and new classrooms to increase the number of electrical apprentice seats in B.C.; Adopt integrated system to accurately test incoming apprentices/journeypersons to B.C. standards, and introduce them into the ITA system where appropriate.
