PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE WORKERS COMPENSATIONS ACT. Cancers are a high risk for firefighters, we would like WCB to approve that firefighters across BC to have Annual medical screening covered by MSP. This would increase the chance of early detection of cancers and other health issues unique to firefighting.

PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE WORKERS COMPENSATIONS ACT. Mandatory Psychological Safety in the Workplace. All first responders receive psychological safety training due to the traumatic exposures they witness throughout their careers. This training is to be required upon the initiation of employment and periodically throughout their career.
