Development Approvals Process Review (DAPR) - the Homebuilders Association Vancouver (HAVAN) participated in one of the Committees tasked by the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing to develop the report on DAPR. HAVAN wishes to ensure that important recommendations from the report are acted upon by the Provincial Government.
Development or enactment of any regulation, including the enactment of a regulation for the purposes of amending or repealing a regulation, Development, establishment, amendment or termination of any program, policy, directive or guideline of the government of British Columbia or a Provincial entity, Introduction, amendment, passage or defeat of any Bill or resolution in or before the Legislative Assembly
Housing, Municipal Affairs
Improvements to the efficiency and processing times for approvals under the Water Sustainability Act, and clearer alignment between Federal, Provincial and Municipal standards for the definition of streams and wetlands.
Development or enactment of any regulation, including the enactment of a regulation for the purposes of amending or repealing a regulation
Environment, Forestry, Municipal Affairs
Participating as a member of the Government of British Columbia's Development Finance Review Committee (DFRC) to provide feedback and guidance on the development of new financing tools for local governments, including Development Cost Charges (DCC), Community Amenity Charges (CAC) and Amenity Contribution Charges (ACC).
