Lobbying support to continue funding for Community Action Initiative (CAI) Community Counselling Fund which is supported by the BC Ministry of Health
1. The request for lobbying support from MLA's in Surrey - A full and timely renewal of the CAI Community Counselling Fund, ensuring organizations like DIVERSEcity can continue offering services without disruption. In previous years, delayed confirmation of annual renewals has resulted in staff layoffs, service interruptions, and organizational instability.
2. Continue Funding
Stable, multi-year funding, allowing community agencies to plan for long-term service delivery, retain experienced staff, and respond strategically to community needs rather than navigating year-to-year uncertainty.
