Strategies to support teacher-counsellor initiatives in every school including revitalizing school counsellor education programs at the post-secondary level; subsidizing teachers to get master's degrees in counselling psychology; allowing students in Master of Counselling programs to be able to fulfil practicum hours under the supervision of another school counsellor at a public school; incentivizing former school counsellors to return to the school system to streamlining the full-time equivalent positions available and allowing them to stay at one school on a full-time basis; and protecting school counsellors' ability to provide counselling services directly to students by reducing non-counselling responsibilities and other duties as assigned.
