CIJA intends to engage the Premier of British Columbia, the Minister of Finance and the Minister of Poverty Reduction and Social Development to share additional measures the government could take to support the Charitable and non profit (C/NFP) sector. The requests include the following:
1. Deployment of additional funding to front line social service agencies providing food security services, counselling, and housing solutions to those most in need in society.
2. Equitable distribution of funding to ensure access and opportunity for all British Columbians including ethno-culturally based communities
