The sector annually generates $17 billion (2024 data) in wages and employee benefits for British Columbians. Core retail sales (excluding vehicles and gasoline) in B.C. were $73 billion in 2024. The Retail Council of Canada (RCC) is a not-for-profit industry-funded association that represents small, medium and large retail businesses in every community across the country. As the Voice of Retail™, we proudly represent British Columbia storefronts in all retail formats, including department, grocery, pharmacy, convenience, specialty, discount and independent retailers, as well as online merchants and quick-service restaurants.
