Description of Business Activities
Coast Mental Health (Coast) was created in 1972 in response to the growing need for services in the community for people recovering from a serious mental illness. Since its inception, Coast has not only focused on the growth of services it offers but has also placed emphasis on its participants being members who have a role in determining priorities and how services are provided. Coast’s mission adopts the concept of community as the foundation of what it does, seeking to raise awareness and supports for those impacted by mental illness and the numerous ancillary experiences of the residents.
