ACTA is a national professional association representing travel agencies and travel advisors across Canada. It serves as the unified voice of the Canadian travel industry, providing support, education, advocacy, and specialized services to its members. Mission and Role ACTA’s mission is to support and strengthen Canadian travel professionals by helping them to: stay informed about public policy, regulations, and issues affecting the travel industry; develop their skills and careers through nationally recognized education programs and professional certifications, including Certified Travel Counselor (CTC) and Certified Travel Manager (CTM); access resources, tools, and a professional network that promote excellence and business growth. Representation ACTA acts as the official representative of the industry with governments, regulatory bodies, and industry partners to advocate on behalf of travel agencies and travel advisors across the country. Member Services The association provides its members with: continuing education and professional development programs; networking opportunities and participation in industry events; professional recognition through national designations; strategic resources to support business operations and address challenges in the travel marketplace. Governance ACTA is governed by an elected national Board of Directors composed of experienced professionals from different regions of Canada, ensuring balanced representation and governance focused on the needs of the industry.
