Description of Activities
The Vancouver Island Construction Association (VICA) is a non-profit industry association representing the commercial, industrial, institutional, and civil construction sector across Vancouver Island and the Sunshine Coast. VICA supports its members through advocacy, education, industry collaboration, and business development services. The organization delivers training and professional development programs, facilitates networking and industry engagement opportunities, and provides resources to support workforce development, procurement best practices, and operational excellence. VICA also administers programs that address industry priorities such as health and safety, mental health and substance use supports, and workforce capacity. A core function of VICA is to advocate on behalf of its membership to all levels of government on issues impacting the construction sector, including procurement policy, infrastructure investment, regulatory frameworks, workforce development, and housing affordability. VICA works collaboratively with industry partners, government agencies, and stakeholders to advance a strong, sustainable construction industry in British Columbia.
