Description of Business Activities
Protonify is seeking regulatory approval for their cannabis recycling and processing facility that would take biomass procured from Licensed Producers in the form of trim (waste) or flower and adds value through a proprietary work-up (compound isolation and purification) process capable of operating at industrial scale. The process yields naturally occurring Tetrahydrocannabinolic acid (THCa) in an odourless, tasteless and powder form. In this sensory inert form, THCa is a non-psychoactive compound possessing similar qualities to that of Cannabidiol (CBD), yet can be readily converted to Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) in high yields. The THCa powder would have a number of potential uses including as an opiate replacement and as a potential part of cannabis health products pending Health Canada's ongoing policy and regulatory development process in this area. Protonify's operating facility would be located in BC, and would like to engage with BC public office holders to inform them about the work they are doing.
